Korean spiced beef and rice

This super quick and very easy beef recipe will be a welcome addition to your busy weeknight repertoire.  Ground beef is sauteed with garlic and spices, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds and served with rice.  It also makes a delicious filling for lettuce wraps.

Instructions
  1. In small bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, ground ginger and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet, over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook, stirring about 1 minute. Add ground beef, and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the soy sauce mixture and cook until heated through, about five minutes.
  4. Serve over rice and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
