In a world of many delicious cheesecake recipes this one is pretty hard to beat. The crust is nutty, the filling has a lovely, subtle brown sugar and pecan flavor and the top is glazed with maple syrup– three layers of delicious Southern flavors.
Make crust: Preheat oven to 400. Place first three ingredients in a mixing bowl and blend thoroughly. Press mixture into bottom of a greased 9″ springform pan. Bake 8 minutes or until golden brown. Cool before filling.
In large mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese, sugar and flour until smooth. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each. Add the vanilla, maple syrup and pecans. Pour mixture into prepared crust/ Bake for 50 minutes. Open the oven door and allow cake to cool to room temperature. Chill. Brush top of cake with maple syrup and decorate with pecans.
