In a world of many delicious cheesecake recipes this one is pretty hard to beat. The crust is nutty, the filling has a lovely, subtle brown sugar and pecan flavor and the top is glazed with maple syrup– three layers of delicious Southern flavors.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups pecans toasted and chopped finely
- 2 tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. butter softened
- 24 oz. cream cheese softened
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp. maple syrup
- 1/2 cup pecans chopped, toasted
- maple syrup and pecans to garnish

Instructions
- Make crust: Preheat oven to 400. Place first three ingredients in a mixing bowl and blend thoroughly. Press mixture into bottom of a greased 9″ springform pan. Bake 8 minutes or until golden brown. Cool before filling.
- In large mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese, sugar and flour until smooth. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each. Add the vanilla, maple syrup and pecans. Pour mixture into prepared crust/ Bake for 50 minutes. Open the oven door and allow cake to cool to room temperature. Chill. Brush top of cake with maple syrup and decorate with pecans.
